the Morality of Bud chp 5 pt 2

Years later : It was a prosperous time in the Paralem territory. A new ruler was crowned in the house of Ellas. The people only knew him as "The Blue Lord ". He was a mysterious hero who first appeared approximately five years ago in the east. The new ruler had overthrown all of the battling lords, who were fighting to obtain Ellas's former kingdom. What baffled and amazed the residents of Paralem, was that the Blue Lord conquered his enemies with little to no army, and less bloodshed. In a short amount of time, he consolidated all the areas to resemble the old eastern kingdom. The minimal warfare and almost peaceful rise to power, made the people ador the Blue Lord. The end to what seemed like endless strife, allowed for easy conduct of trade. The people began to enjoy economic freedom and a sense of well being. The removal of fear and oppression filled the entire territory with a kind of ease and hope, not felt for two centuries. There were no paintings, statues, or any other images of the Blue Lord. No one knew what he looked like, or who he was. The only distinguishing characteristic about him, was the bright blue clothing and armor he would wear. Even his race or species was unknown, but (unusualy) nobody seemed to care. ... Many different kinds of creatures and races populated the Great Continent. There had always been an undercurrent of conflict between the species and races of. The near century of the mysterious power known as magic or sorcery, did not help matters. The blame for the many misfortunes as a result of magic, was consistently put on the different creatures. Sadly, this attitude penetrated the walls of the monastery. The monks were made up of every kind of people from all over the continent. Even though they lived together harmoniously, there lingered a pervasive subtle bigotry among them.
